About Canine Massage Therapy
Animals benefit from massage in the same way we do. Massage releases the body's natural pain relievers called endorphins. Massage therapy increases circulation of blood, nutrients, lymph and oxygen to the tissues. It promotes healing, while cleanses the body of it's metabolic waste. Massage is especially helpful for arthritic and senior dogs, growing young pups, athletic and working dog, recovering, fearful and stressed dogs. Massage offers healing benefits to all. When I work with a dog, I obtain a detailed history from the owner, pay attention to cues from the dog, and if needed talk with the veterinarian. Observing the dog moves provides valuable information as to what areas of the body and energy centers may need special attention. Canine massage used in conjunction with veterinary care can optimize your pet's health and reduce pain.
